Developmental assessments look at the whole child and their development, including motor skills, social-emotional functioning, strengths, and weaknesses. Developmental assessments can be a helpful tool for distinguishing between mental health diagnoses (trauma disorders, depression, anxiety) or other diagnoses that affect learning and development such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Assessment cost will vary based on age and number of sessions required. If possible, insurance may be used for parts of the evaluation. Accepted insurance include BCBS of MA, Harvard Pilgrim, United Healthcare, and Allways. If you choose not to use insurance, assessments cost between $500-1500, depending on age, number of sessions, and number of assessments required.

I accept most insurances as well as private pay (out of pocket), which is typically between $135 and $180 per session. Support is available with submitting fees for out-of-network reimbursement if your insurance is not covered.
